Terms and conditions

Avilumen is an exotic bird encyclopedia and a digital products store operated by [[COMPLETAR: razón social o nombre legal del titular y su número de identificación]] under the Xentris Tech brand. • It is a reference work: taxonomy, IUCN conservation status, range, coloration and care guides.
• It does not sell, buy or broker live animals, eggs or animal parts.
• Care guides are general information and do not replace a consultation with an avian veterinarian.
• Keeping or trading many species is regulated (CITES and national laws). Complying with those rules is each person's responsibility.

Encyclopedic texts and photographs come from Wikidata, Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons and are published under their licenses (CC BY-SA 4.0 or other free licenses) with the attribution shown on each page. Conservation status is the one published by the IUCN. While we care about accuracy, this data may contain errors; if you find one, tell us at [[COMPLETAR: correo de contacto legal, p. ej. privacidad@xentris.tech]].

• Digital art pack: high-resolution illustrations of a species in different styles. The illustrations are generated with artificial intelligence from a real photograph of the species and are reviewed before being offered for sale.
• AI avatar: an image generated with artificial intelligence that combines your face with the chosen species, from the photo you provide.
• Each product description states what it includes, the format and the resolution. They are digital files: nothing physical is shipped.

Prices are shown in U.S. dollars (USD) on each species page. Any taxes due in your country are shown before you pay. Payment is made through Stripe; Avilumen does not see or store your card details. The contract is formed when Stripe confirms the payment.

After the payment is confirmed you receive a download link at the email address you gave at checkout. The link is valid for 48 hours. If it expires or does not arrive, write to [[COMPLETAR: correo de contacto legal, p. ej. privacidad@xentris.tech]] with the purchase email and we will send you a new one. AI avatars are delivered once they finish generating, normally in under 72 hours.

Because this is digital content delivered immediately, when you buy you agree that delivery starts right away and, where the law allows, you lose the 14-day right of withdrawal once the download has started.

Even so, we refund the full amount if:

• you did not receive the product and we could not deliver it within 7 days of your notice;
• the file is damaged or does not match the species or product bought, and we cannot replace it;
• you were charged twice for the same order.
• Request the refund at [[COMPLETAR: correo de contacto legal, p. ej. privacidad@xentris.tech]] within 14 days of the purchase, using the email you paid with. We return it to the same payment method within 10 business days. Nothing in this clause limits the rights your country's consumer law gives you.

Except as stated in the next paragraph, when you buy you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download, view, print and use the files for personal, non-commercial purposes: decoration, wallpapers, printed gifts. You may not resell them, redistribute them as files, or use them in products for sale without our written permission.

Illustrations derived from a photograph published under a CC BY-SA license are derivative works and are distributed under the same license (CC BY-SA 4.0, https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/). For those works that license governs: it lets you share and adapt them as long as you credit the original author and keep the same license. Each pack includes a credits file with the author and license of the original photo.

The avatar generated from your photo is for your personal use, including as a profile picture on social media.

If you provide a photo for an avatar, you warrant that you are the person shown or have their consent, and that if a minor appears you have the authorization of their parent or guardian. We do not accept photos of third parties without permission, or sexual, violent or illegal content. We may decline an order that breaks this rule and refund it.

• Do not try to access non-public parts of the site or its order data.
• Do not use bots or automated tools that overload the service.
• Do not use the site for illegal activities, including wildlife trafficking.

The site design, the Avilumen brand, the care guides and our own texts belong to [[COMPLETAR: razón social o nombre legal del titular y su número de identificación]] or its licensors. Third-party content keeps its original license.

The site is provided as is. We do not guarantee that it is error-free or always available. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the affected product. Nothing here excludes liability that the law does not allow to be excluded.

These terms are governed by the law of the country where the owner is domiciled, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence. We may update these terms; the current version is the one published here and applies to purchases made from its date. Effective from 2026-10-16.
